1. Arc de Triomphe
The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is an iconic monument located at the junction of the 8th, 16th, and 17th arrondissements at the top of the Champs-Élysées. Commissioned by Napoleon I in 1806 and completed in 1836 under Louis-Philippe, it stands at the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle where twelve avenues converge. It honors those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
